- Henry Holcombe was 'the boy' Prenesto in 'Camilla', one of the earliest Italian operas in London, and the page in Addison's 'Rosamond'. He left the stage when his voice broke, and became a successful teacher of singing and of the harpsichord to various families. He died around 1750 (according to Hawkins 1776, V, 187) or 1752.
