- The photos presented in this publication show images collected by the Mexican architect Luis Barragán (1902 - 1988) as part of a reference archive that he displayes on a large wooden monk's lectern in the living room of his house in Mexico City. The somewhat bulky piece of furniture, occupying almost all of the room in front of a large window facing the garden, presented the particulars of Barragán's thinking in a fluctuating arrangement of illustrations.
