‘Warme Regen’ is a project that started to bloom during Spring 2020. The pandemic put our lives on hold and brought a great sense of unreality. Time and space suddenly took on different connotations that along the way brought important reflections on our habits and values. The snapshots in this project should be seen as a search for the presence of authenticity and beauty that all too often escape our attention. My images often reflect something that you can feel, but where you do not fully know what you are feeling at that moment. Somewhere a kind of personal inquiry in which I try to get closer to that feeling in order to understand that fascination better. The need and hunger to capture those special (hidden) moments when life slows down and cuts deeper drives me and has become an essential part of my photography. (from website Liza François)
