In recent years, there have been drastic changes in the field of the performing arts. New forms of art have emerged, hybridity and crossover have increasingly become the rume rather than the exception, and the old voncentions of theatre have been thrown overboard. These new, scattered ways of performing require new methodologies. After all the experimentation and freewheeling, the time has come so set up, define and establish a process. (What's) the matter with method? is the title of the colloquim being held from April 11 to 14, 2012 at the Arts Centre BUDA in Kortrijk to mark completion of the European project Labo21 and to place that work within a broader context.
