- Samenvatting:
- The installation consists of three videos played simultaneously. The three videos are displayed on three freestanding screens placed in zig-zag in the room (rear projection screens, each projection visible from both sides of the screen). Each projection has its own soundtrack. The projections show images of a dinner party, people eating and talking. In each video the camera is in constant motion, revolving around the table, moving over people's backs, their faces, and the food on the table. The three revolving videos and their respective sound tracks continuously overlap and interfere with each another. The projection on the left shows nine people having fragmented conversations, collections of sentences. The people ar not really talking to each other, each is on his or her own. The center projection focuses on the gestures and the food, the projection on the right shows the nine people in loose conversation, about the same subjects, but more detached.
