a| 'Tous les matins du monde' is a novel written by Pascal Quignard and published in 1991. In this imaginary biography of a real historical musician of the 17th century, Jean de Sainte-Colombe - and his pupil Marin Marais who will be better known than him - painting occupies a capital place, as well as the music of the bass viol, very popular during the "Grand Siècle". This novel was adapted the same year for the cinema under the same title by Alain Corneau.
