a| Ex libris "Dom Antoine Jourdez", the last Benedictine monk of Toul, who wrote a handwritten document, entitled Description of the organ, 1811 and 1813. Attached to this 422-page manuscript is a 47-page Supplement, written in 1882, by Joseph Oury, organist of Toul Cathedral. The organ of the former Saint-Étienne Cathedral of Toul (Meurthe-et-Moselle) seemed to have passed through the Revolution without incident. When the church reopened, the last of the Benedictine monks of Saint-Mansuy, Dom Antoine Jourdez, had the organ restored and assumed the position of organist until September 30, 1828.
