a| Le Ménestrel was a weekly musical journal published in Paris between 1833 and 1940, founded by Joseph-Hippolyte L'Henry and initially published by Librairie Poussielgue. In 1840, the journal was bought by the music publisher Jacques-Léopold Heugel and remained in the fold of Éditions Heugel until its disappearance at the beginning of the Second World War.
